‘M U S I C’ is a show about art, gods and obsession. Mostly, though, it’s about the music.
Jacob Larrick is a young AI programmer for Stripify – the world’s most popular music streaming service, and pines for the artists of the 60’s and 70’s, those pioneers who live on as sparkling deities in the public imagination. When, he wonders, will we see their like again?
So, when a chance encounter with a disgraced – but brilliant – geneticist leads to an unexpected opportunity, he takes his chance. He creates his very own, original Stripify ‘recommended artist’: with the imagination of Bowie; the charisma of Brown; the acerbic wit of Lennon. This artist has it all, and as he skyrockets through the charts, he takes a delighted Jacob along for a ride.
That is, until certain other, less appealing personality traits begin to show themselves…
‘M U S I C’ is the second sketch-gig-theatre collaboration from HangDog, the all-singing and never-dancing lovechild of the maniac clown Jacob Lovick and Chester’s longest-haired songwriter Jack Toop, who brought their debut show ‘L O V E’ to Ventnor Fringe in 2021 to great acclaim.

Tessa is a thoroughbred. A young, brilliant barrister who loves to win. She has worked her way up from working class origins to be at the top of her game; defending; cross examining and lighting up the shadows of doubt in any case. An unexpected event forces her to confront the lines where the patriarchal power of the law, burden of proof and morals diverge.
Jodie Comer, the Emmy and Bafta Award-winning star of TV’s Killing Eve as well as Free Guy and The Last Duel, makes her West End debut in the UK premiere of Suzie Miller’s award-winning play, Prima Facie which takes us to the heart of where emotion and experience collide with the rules of the game. Justin Martin directs this solo actor tour de force at the intimate Harold Pinter Theatre. See it here on our big screen in Ventnor.

From the company behind Ventnor Fringe 2019’s ★★★★★ The Trial (“captivating”, DIVA Magazine) and ★★★★★ Busu & The Damask Drum (“extravagant and visual”, The Wee Review), Utter Mess! features the critically acclaimed Inês Sampaio and Etsuko Shirasaka, in a show that mixes theatre, live music, clowing and magic. In search for meaning and connection, a company of artists end up in Tokyo’s Museum of Lost Things, a curious place where nothing is remembered forever.
Their new reality is chaotic and they are now in a place of magic – where the magic always goes wrong. Frankly, it’s an utter mess. Exploring what we remember and what we forget – Utter Mess! is about how we connect with others and ourselves. Embrace the chaos with StoneCrabs’ new magical, thought-provoking, funny and blissful theatrical journey.

Event Details
The Hippie Shakes is a new piece of gig theatre by award-winning playwright and director Frankie Regalia. It is a distinctly female journey of motherhood, survival, extreme poverty, bereavement, and inter-generational cycles of abuse. Inspired by a true story, The Hippie Shakes follows the fiery and funny Chickie as she struggles with her responsibilities as a mother, her cheating husband, and her desire for freedom. As her husband drags the family into the world of drug smuggling, the United States is going through historic changes. This play is steeped in the music of the era, featuring the sounds of Bob Dylan, Sonny & Cher, Santana, Janis Joplin, and more. The combination of live music, storytelling, and dark humor creates an intimate and memorable theatre experience.
This production is supported by Creative Scotland and the Bloomsbury Festival. This play is being produced by Sweaty Palms Productions. Sweaty Palms Productions was founded in 2017 and is comprised of a collective of international artists – Kalyl Kadri, Frankie Regalia, Ryan Lester, Sari Shrayteh & Helen Potter. It is an artistically cooperative company that is dedicated to bridging the connection between live performance & social change, attaching activism to all work. We are particularly focused on making a more accessible theatre industry through skill sharing, free workshops, and collaborative artistic practices. Our previous work includes Stoned, Stupid, & Stuck by Frankie Regalia and The Price of Iron adapted by the company, based on Bertolt Brecht.

Disclaimer: this performance doesn’t provide any medical advice, nor the meaning of life.
Common side effects: rise of energy, strong thoughts, bliss and laughter.

“You’ve got to fight him some time or other you know, ’cos he’s St George and you’re the dragon…”
When a boy finds a dragon up on the Downs he’s not in the least surprised. He’s always known the cave there was a dragon cave, so it seems only right for a dragon to be living in it. But this particular dragon is not a bit like the ones in fairy tales – this one writes poetry and doesn’t like fighting!
However, it’s common knowledge that when there’s a dragon you call for St George and, with a dragon in the neighbourhood, the towns folk are expecting a fight. Can the boy come up with a clever plan to save his friend and convince the townsfolk to accept him….?
Find out in Quantum Theatre’s enchanting adaptation of Kenneth Grahame’s, The Reluctant Dragon – a touching, sweet and funny tale of bravery, friendship and derring-do for all the family.

“If we shadows have offended,
Think but this, and all is mended…
That you have but slumbered here
While these visions did appear…”
Quantum Theatre presents a brand new production of Shakespeare’s most enduringly popular play of love and intrigue, magic and celebration set on that most dangerous of nights when fairies are abroad and nothing is as it seems…
With a quarrel raging between Oberon, King of the fairies and his Queen, Titania four young lovers become entangled in their magical affray and soon no mortals are safe in those bewitched and bewitching woods outside Athens.
This delightful new production presents a flight of magical fancy where real life is unexpectedly entangled with the supernatural, where willow-the-wisp fairies, unsuspecting artisans and ardent young lovers are woven together by the finest gossamer thread:
“I have had a dream, past the wit of man to say what dream it was…”
