Event Details

A patient, exploratory vinyasa flow class, with a focus on connecting the breath and movement to nurture awareness, subtle strength and a steadier mind.
We’ll start with some time spent tuning into the breath, before moving through a slow and steady asana flow, and then bring it back down to the ground to cool down and settle into a calming resting pose to finish.
The sessions will be open to all, whether you’re new to yoga or practice regularly. Please let me know in advance if you have any current injuries, are pregnant or are working with anything I should be aware of – you can do this confidentially by emailing: yogawithboosh@gmail.com
Things you need to know:
– Please arrive 10 minutes or so before the class starts to have time to settle in
– *Bring Your Own Mat* – (I’ll have a few to offer for those who don’t have one)
– By taking part in my yoga classes you are also taking responsibility for looking after your own body, as you know it best. Please do let me know about any injuries, if you are pregnant or if you are working with anything particular that I should be aware of and I’ll be very happy to offer modifications so that you can make the most out of your practice.
Teacher Background:
I am a qualified vinyasa yoga teacher with a specific interest in yoga’s influence on mental health and the mind-body connection. A lot of my fascination centres around the breath and nervous system, and as someone who used to dance I aim to share the enjoyment of movement in the classes I offer, welcoming in curiosity, exploration, self-compassion and subtle strength. I guide students clearly throughout my classes, through each movement, in a way that is accessible for beginners as well as more experienced practitioners.
I am a member of the Board of Directors for The Bristol Yoga Roots Project, an organisation dedicated to working with communities and supporting teachers to offer accessible and inclusive yoga in Bristol and beyond.
My additional training includes:
Mental Health and The Body – Treating Trauma (Carolyn Spring);
Basic Mental Health Techniques and Training for Yoga Teachers (The Minded Institute);
Anatomy Made Interesting (Melanie Cooper & Stu Girling);
Ourmala – trauma sensitive yoga for refugees and asylum seekers;
Decolonising Yoga (Sophia Ansari);
Trauma Awareness (Ashley Russell)
